Mosaic Collages
One day while taking down their holiday greeting cards Mary wondered what she could do with all the colorful printed cards instead of throwing them away. She made a mosaic birthday card out of the used cards for a friend. She liked the idea of recycling materials to make art and hasn’t stopped since.
The mosaic collages are piece of recycled card stock glued side by side instead of overlaid on top of each other as in traditional collage. An under-painting is laid down first to enhance or complement the different mosaic pieces.
